I though that the teachers employed at Mitchell High School, for the most part, were extremely caring and good at teaching. I was involved in debate throughout high school and thought they had a great program set up for students. I also thought the art department was very good and influential, which helped me to go on to college for graphic design.
One thing i would change about this high school is the lack of education you get on college, living alone, or anything past high school. I think its debatable whether or not that type of information is the schools job to provide, but i do think it would be really beneficial for all high schools to have a class that prepares you for such huge change. One thing that I've seen a lot in college is Freshman students not doing as well in classes because they are having a hard time adjusting to the change. Having some way of preparing for this would help a lot!

I have had the privilege of working with talented students and teachers, although many would say otherwise. I've went from no honors to an honors class and continue to improve thanks to teachers and staff. The principal and vice principal both adore the students and help us to succeed. The homework can be a little much at times but the teachers give it their all consistently and work hard to make school enjoyable. I'm proud to be a student of Mitchell High School, our academics are even more challenging, but I know I'll be prepared for life because of them. The teachers also help students by providing resources for those who don't or can't afford it. I can truly tell everyone involved is passionate about their work and their students.
Mitchell High School is a solid school with good academics, art, and sports. It has a great technical learning program whether you are interested in cooking to auto mechanics and even high level science classes. The one draw back to the Mitchell High School is that the high school is super old. It is junk and needs to be remodeled. Th sports facilities are great, both the basketball team and all fine arts are in the largest high school capacities in the state respectively. So the high school just needs a new main building and it will be a great place to learn and have fun throughout high school.
