The school building is old, but for its age the school is great. The school is very conservative of its resources. Each year the school gets new and better technology, and when Mitchell can afford it, they will supply each student with their own laptops. Mitchell public schools only has one Guidance counselor. The counselor is very kind and willing to help each and every student that comes to his door. The Counselor provides the juniors and seniors with many opportunities to meet with colleges and works hand in hand will near by schools. Mitchell has no extra tutoring. Students are responsible for their own grades. If a student is experiencing difficulties in a class it is the students responsibility to confront the teacher and get the extra assistance necessary. Parents are involved in most school events. Parents are able to do many things to help children exceed. Busing is very efficient. Mitchell has four buses that run the bus route every school day, very rarely do buses not run on a school day.
