This school has a wonderfully attentive staff. The office is efficient, and the teachers care about the students. In my experience, the teachers enjoy their job, and make learning so much fun! However, I would wish to see change in the counseling office. Some of the counselors could be better about getting to the students and responding quicker.
When I tell you that people weren't lying when they said that the time you spend in high school flies by. The last four years that I have spent at Mission Oak have definitely been memorable. Being a hawk is an indescribable feeling. Some of my teachers were more than just teachers to me, they became friends. I feel like I became such a better person because of attending Mission Oak. I wouldn't trade my high school experience for anything. GO HAWKS!
This is a beautiful school but the way it is run is sad. I watched my daughter be bullied by students, coaches and staff. They sweep things under the rug instead of handling the issues The whole cheer program should be dismantled and recreated under administrators who care about the kids. The coaches really should be investigated. The administration should be watching closely as there have been complaints of coaches making fun of girls weight issues and body image issues. These coaches are a disgrace and really should be let go!
