Overall my experience at Mission High School has been very good. The staff are very supportive and the academics are challenging but you're still able to understand them. My only complaint would be the other students but I'm sure that's what every student says about their school. I believe that if you want your child to attend an academic challenging, openly diverse accepting school, you should consider Mission High. Plus all the students get free lunch!

Mission High school was my first choice for high schools because of its diversity and location. Over my four years there, I have made so many wonderful friends and people. I joined a sports team that is now like my family. They have a very resourceful program for athletes called ASAP, Athletic Scholars Advancement Program. This program was able to send me to Brown University for a two week college class and I was so grateful. Even if you aren't in any sports there are so many other clubs you can join. Recently my school has received some attention because our boys basketball team won state championship and the whole school is really proud of that.
Mission is a school where you feel safe and you are able to express yourself with no judgements. I like how everybody comes from different backgrounds, whether you’re an immigrant, gay, white, black when it’s time to come together as community and fight for what believe in Teachers, staffs and students comes together. I love the leadership that students gain from freshman year until they get to senior. I would like to see more lessons taught about stuff that are not on the books but really important ones that we all should know about.
