My experience at Mission Early College Highschool is great. The school is so supportive and will help you achieve your goals and push you to thrive! They are so welcoming and fun, everyone is involved and no one is left out! Its such a small school that’s we are a family and like to do things together! We all are similar for wanting to get our associates and put in that work to reach that goal! They have so many resources, places and people to reach out to and ask for help! Staff is respectful and teachers are fun to learn with! Though the school focuses on college classes and anything that involves in that, we do everything as a normal high school and have our school spirit!
Mission ECHS is a school, admittedly, I was hesitant to attending at first. The thought of leaving all my friends and being subjected to college-level courses at such a young age seemed quite daunting. However, the school's welcoming atmosphere and staff has helped every student that comes along, and the opportunities that are available to you such as earning your associate's is worth every second of attending this school. On the subject of the welcoming atmosphere, the students are very friendly; there are hardly any situations of bullies dominating the campus, and everyone proves to be quite mature for their age. In addition, unlike most high schools, around 400 students attend, meaning our campus is far less crowded than most, and often you will find there's a lot of free time for you to relax. Taking that first step can be intimidating, but I guarantee you as a student myself, I speak on the behalf of our community when I say the experience is truly something worth living for.
Mission Early College is a very diverse and advanced High school. The student here are very accepting and they create a very healthy and positive environment. The actual school doesn't have the best funding and the nicest facilities but despite that, the school still provides opportunities for you to succeed. This school provides a variety of extracurricular activities but despite the expansive amount of activities, they do not provide high school sports that compete with other high schools. Some examples of extracurricular activities provided are robotics, the Science National Honor Society, Student counsel, and more.
