From Miss Hall's School

Founded in 1898, Miss Hall's School was one of the first all-girls boarding schools established in New England. We combine a college-preparatory curriculum with two leadership programs: Horizons and the Girls' Leadership Project. Both programs are central to our belief that, in addition to outstanding academic preparation, girls need to communicate effectively and authentically, voice opinions with resolve and respect, and be comfortable having influence, leading change, and contributing boldly and creatively to the common good.

As an international student who has been here for four years, I believe that Miss Hall's has offered me the best I can envision for a high school experience. People care here. My teachers invest their greatest effort in helping us discover our interest and supporting them. I never realized that I have this great passion for art before I came here, nor I have envisioned being able to present myself confidently in front of a crowd of 300 people regularly. The Horizons program which provides internship and volunteer opportunities that combines our interests has really boarded my horizon and challenged me to think beyond the classroom. The administration also cares. The voice of the student government is always valued and considered in their process.

Choosing to attending Miss Hall's School is one of the best decisions I've ever made. When I came to the school I was shy, unsure of myself, and absolutely terrified to be in a new environment. Now in my junior year I attend multiple clubs, hold several leadership positions, attend conferences and talks throughout the year and have a ton of friends. It is through the supportive community at MHS that I was able to do any of this. The people here genuinely care about each other and want to see you succeed. The teachers are supportive, understanding, and flexible and the students are open-minded, hilarious, and kind. This school pushes you to "lean into discomfort" and makes you do things you never thought you could, surrounded and supported by your friends who are people you'd never thought you'd meet.
As the parent of a four-year senior at Miss Hall's, I can honestly say she has had the best experience at this school. The faculty are extremely caring, engaged and focused on making every student's experience the best it can be. My daughter has fully enjoyed all of her classes, been supported when she has struggled, and has felt like an integral member of the community. There is no shortage of activities to become involved in, and many opportunities for leadership. I love the diverse international community, and my daughter learns about other cultures on a daily basis. Miss Hall's has fully prepared my daughter to be ready for college.
