The School itself is literally crumbling to pieces, and everything feels like it has a thin layer of sticky goo, the basement (which is like half the school) smells of mold but you get used to the smell and its actually quite nostalgic. Music program is very good, although not as good as it used to be. You don't get to go on the playground if you're over the age of 12. But the teachers are pretty okay for a middle school. I wouldn't willingly step foot in the building again but its not that bad.
The school is quite traditional and teachers are very responsive to the academic program. That said, the system is focused on progressing standard curriculum and supporting those students that need more time to grasp concepts. Fast learners and gifted students are not addressed as they could for optimal engagement and maximized learning. Coming from a school with great gifted and accelerated learning programs has been an adjustment.
Great academics program with a decent administration located in rural Massachusetts as part of the MURSD school system.
