Welcoming, nurturing, and academically challenging. That's the amazing atmosphere you'll find at Mire Elementary School. I attended Mire from my kindergarten years all the way to my eight grade year. And I can honestly attest that every teacher took individual time for each student and made sure that everyone understood completely whatever it was that they were teaching. Mire was rated an "A" school, and for good reason. There was hardly any disciplinary issues bigger than untucked shirts. It was always evident that the administration was there to help you with anything from personal to academic needs. I've had some of my fondest memories on that campus.

Mire is a great school and getting better. The physical facilities are somewhat run down and old, but the gym has a/c and some of the classrooms are brand new.
