The school is new and friendly, but COVID closures made it difficult. More support for special needs kids is needed.
Minuteman is a good technical vocational school. If you know what field you want to train in, you will get experience and have an upper hand going into said field. However, Minuteman lacks on the academic side. Classes aren’t very challenging, there isn’t a lot of variety, and there aren’t many AP or DE options.
The only time I ever did well in school was at Minuteman. I was a failing student until I transfered and graduated with honors. I met some of my closest friends there and made life long connections with my trade teachers. I think Trade schools are the way of the future and would recomend Minuteman to anyone.
overall minuteman isn't a bad school, but there can definitely be improvements. the lack of school spirit contributes to a lackluster high school experience, and the lack of diversity in the school, but also in the culture of school makes it a little depressing. some teachers are better than others, in my personal opinion some don't seem competent enough to teach.
I have had a wonderful time attending Minuteman Regional High School. I have formed good connections with teachers as well as students.
loved this school and being able to get a high school diploma and also study within a certain specialty.
Minuteman is an excellent alternative to public school. I've learned a ton in my health sciences shop and it's helped me know what I want to pursue after high school.
I love the supportive teachers who take the time to explain things. The community itself is super kind and its very easy to make friends. The new superintendent plans to bring some changes to the school and so far I have only seen improvement.
great option for students looking to jumpstart their career and break out of a normal classroom. Student culture is polarizing. Teachers range from "the bane of my existence; I am crying on my textbook" to "I would give them my firstborn child"
I’m currently a Biotechnology student at Minuteman and I love every single part of it. It’s a relatively small school with a large, brand new, state-of-the-art campus which accommodates the vocations and the academics quite well. The teachers and administration are wonderful and they have various clubs to be a part of. Generally, the whole atmosphere is friendly and it made leaving my town’s education path and my classmates much easier. I have the pleasure of being a student ambassador and a peer leader so I get to help recruit potential students all the time and knowing I helped them make that choice is out of this world. All in all, as of now, I’m loving my time at Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School.
I came into Minuteman High School as a newcomer to Massachusetts. I have heard of the stressful public schools in Massachusetts. What Minuteman High School really strives in is it's vocational programs. I have gotten the great opportunity to learn how to be prepared for certain jobs right out of high school!
The teachers are amazing for the most part. The principal is the kindest person ever and the classes are really fun. The atmosphere at minuteman is awesome and teachers stay after school twice a week in case students need help.
The environment is very nice, especially with the new school building. The teachers I have interacted with have been very engaged with student learning and have been very helpful on my path through high school. The faculty is also very friendly and they're very proactive with the transition into college.
They now have a new state of the art building, but while I was a student the old building was falling apart and it made it difficult to have a comfortable experience. The students are not diverse at all and it was hard to make friends as everyone never wanted to cut away from their cliques. Depending on the CTE program you decide on, the teachers can make such an impact on your life. I picked horticulture and plant science and it was the best decision I have ever made. If I had been able to experience the new school, I would give the school more than 2 stars; the old building just made it so hard to enjoy the school.
As a student at Minuteman High school, I am able to get an education tailored to my needs. I am a student ambassador and participate in many clubs and events. I have dyslexia which makes learning difficult but with the support that I have received from my teachers makes it possible for me to maintain my high GPA and fully understand the topics discussed in class. The class size at minutemen tends to be smaller than most class sizes. my grade has 120 students. the student to teacher ratio is 10 students to one teacher.
While the school is ok many of the teacher are to easy on students with late work which does not help behaviour improvement. The school does not properly prepare students for college in many ways.
When I started high school at Minuteman regional tech I was a little nervous but then the teachers and the staff made And a very comfortable atmosphere and from there I was able to grow. I love my school and there is nothing I would change.
