The education and teachers were pretty good! Offers plenty of APs but it's unlikely if you take more than 2 that they will fit in your schedule.
If you are not white and cishet, prepare to be bullied, excluded, called slurs, and discriminated against pretty regularly. The administration is utterly useless in general, especially if you aren't an active participant in sports. They also didn't care about remote kids at all during COVID.

Minnechaug is without a doubt a great school. It is simultaneously challenging and engaging from different leveled class to the extracurricular activities. These clubs helped me get out of my comfort zone and become more social; thus, helping me grow as a person. I was able to involve myself with the smoke signal and writing club, since I have a passion in writing. I've even spent three of my high school years playing guitar in the jazz band since I do love music. There is a club for everyone and if there is something you want to be involved with that isn't already available, you can make your own club because everyone is able to speak their voice. Our teachers strive to help students as much as they can. Furthermore, this push makes students into leaders. When I received a GPA of a 3.90, I was welcomed into the national honor society. This organization has allowed me to help my community through charitable events and I have spent my senior year tutoring on a weekly basis.
I enjoyed my 4 years at Minnechaug. The teachers and staff were encouraging , supportive, and understanding throughout the challenging times caused by the Pandemic. I was able to overcome and maintain a GPA of 4.2 because I was able to focus and learn in a safe environment and my teachers challenged me and motivated me to want to learn and excel to try to achieve my goals. My teachers were able to provide me with the skill set I need in order to succeed in college as I learned valuable study skills including how to prioritize and budget my time. I also participated in high school sports including Freshman soccer and Junior Varsity soccer as well as Cross Country and Tennis. All of my coaches challenged me to try my best and taught me the important skills like teamwork and working together to reach a common goal. I can't think of anything that I would change about my high school as the academics were challenging, my teachers were great. and my coaches were positive role models.
