Minico High School is unlike any other school in the United States. At Minico, the students support each other, and the teachers are the student's #1 fans. Other than grades being exceptionally high, the students are also very involved with sports and the community. For example, before school started, we had a "Clean Up" day where all the students came and cleaned up the school before the new school year started. As well as being good citizens, the students at Minico have school spirit! At the end of every football game, win or lose, the football team gathers in front of the student section and we all sing the fight song together! Lately the parents have started to join in too! Overall, Minico is a place to feel at home. It is my family away from my family.

I love the culture at Minico High School. We have the best school spirit and everyone always comes together to support our different clubs and activities. Minico does everything they can to make sure we are ready for college. The biggest change I would like to see at Minico is the administration, they aren’t very connected with the students at our school and don’t get to know students for who they are. The administration only notices kids as a name to a face instead of a person. I know there are a lot of kids in our school, but this is just a change i would love to see!
Minico is a small, tight-knit school. Even though, it does not have the biggest budget or shiniest new toys, Minico was overall a great experience for me personally. With the resources they had, the staff and faculty prepared me for college and provided me with all of the information and resources I needed. I was able to complete one full year of college through the dual credits offered at Minico, and the honors level classes never failed to challenge me. There is a variety of interests that students can explore. Minico had excellent sports, music, art, engineering, and other programs that have proven effective and prepared many graduates for successful careers.
