We could not be happier with Mingo Valley Christian. It has been such a positive change and experience to our previous private school experience.

Upon reading all the great reviews of Mingo Valley, we scheduled a tour, loved what we saw/heard, and quickly got on their waiting list as it was April by the time we decided (a bit late) we needed to switch.

Luckily, by June 7th, we got the call that a spot had opened up. The school has an excellent communication system and also schedules summer "meet ups" for the kids/parents. So helpful for new families to get to know the other families of the class.

The Mingo kids are so sweet and welcoming. Their parents have been equally kind and welcoming as well.

Mrs. Ray, the first grade teacher, is the best and so are all the other elementary teachers! We could not be more impressed with the spiritual, academic, and social growth in our child this year.

We transitioned to Mingo Valley Christian from a local public school district to start the 2019-2020 school year. Our student was entering third grade. From the time of initial inquiries, to application, to tour and interview processes, to the activities and events related to being prepared for the school year, I commend the entire MVC community. As parents, we received prompt , open and direct communication. As a child, our student was grateful for the summer activities which were planned to help integrate her and make the transition to know a familiar face before the first day. In addition, the community builder parents (similar to 'home room mom') were regularly and actively reaching out to answer questions as they arose. The Christian education and sincere, smart and well equipped educators and staff confirm that the change was the best fit for our family.
The school itself is average. Considering the amount for tuition I expect much more for that tuition level. NO SCHOOL BUS IS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. The kids are diverse and seems like good group. But, don’t voice your opinions if they don’t match what the upper administration wants. You will very bluntly be told to go somewhere elsewhere. It’s their way or the highway. They claim to have wonderful food service and desire for families to volunteer. They only accept certain volunteers and will not be where it best fits your needs. Help is help they should be thankful so many people want to help. Parents nor children are ever given an option on food choices. The food choice, quality, and preparation is really disgusting. It’s better than public school if that helps you. Is it worth $1000 a month? Most definitely not. look elsewhere. This price point has many nicer options.
