Not a bad experience. There’s a few teacher’s to watch out for, but I believe this could be said about a lot of high schools. The school gives a lot of opportunities such as APs, college credits, and clubs.
Mineola is a great school district to attend, one that is diverse and accepting of all students. The teachers and staff are wonderful, caring and helpful.
I have a senior and a sophmore at Mineola High School. They are both straight A honor students and very involved in academics, volunteer and extra curricular activities.
I enjoy it here, the staff is always nice and everyone holds at least a little respect for each other. This place is great especially if your a band kid. (im not a band kid) I've made a great amount of friends and I'm sure that I'll continue to pursue an education with them aswell. 10/10 Great Highschool, would give it all back to see what it was like a second time around.
It’s been pretty good so far! I want to go into engineering so our fabrication lab is amazing to develop my skills. There are some really great opportunities here, and our marching band has won many awards.
There are many opportunities to grow within Mineola high school. There are so many opportunities to advance with a selection of AP, college, and honors level classes. Mineola high school is an Apple distinguished school, so each student is given an iPad to complete their tasks on. They have a variety of sports ranging from football to bowling. The library is gorgeous. The fab lab allows students to explore manufacturing and the mac lab allows students to try things like 3d printing and creating school merchandise for the entrepreneurship class and club.
This high school has great clubs and the teachers are very helpful with whatever you need. They offer many sports activities and a wide variety of clubs.
Mineola is a place where I’ve made many friendships growing up here and good relationships with my teachers throughout the years. I’ve had a great experience at Mineola from my academics, sports and clubs I’ve participated in. I will miss the great memories, community and teachers who have helped me along the way as I will continue my academic journey in college.
Good school if you can get involved with clubs or other extracurricular activities and develop a culture with your peers, otherwise its only standout feature is being an “Apple distinguished school”. Nobody in senior year would rather stay on campus than go out and do anything else, but the teachers and classes are good for the most part.
Mineola High School in my opinion is sneaky. Because they failed to mention to me in my early years of attendance that I could skip some levels to advance myself, I fell of of being with the crowd I wanted to be a part of. there are definitely some faculty members that I hold dear to my heart, who stuck with me and ensured 5's on AP exams.
It is a great school and I'm happy I went here. The teachers care about their students and there is a clear community within the school.
Teachers are, for the most part, great. The administration, however, doesnt listen to us and doesnt care about us. They dont handle issues, such as bullying, the way they say they will. Furthermore, they put in new doors in for "safety" yet someone who threatened to shoot up the school graduated in 2019 after he made this threat in 9th grade. I would not reccomend this school to anyone. The ONLY saving grace are the teachers, who are generally awesome.
The faculty was always supportive and nice. There were always events going on. Good social setting. Small, community like town.
It was a small school so everyone kind of knew each other and the school was ahead in technology and the whole STEM thing. The combination of these two things makes mineola, honestly a pretty good school district. It’s a public school district, so everything they offer there like 3D printing, cnc machinery, and other high tech machinery is all free for the students to use.
Mineola was very oblivious to the reasons as to why the students who performed poorly did, without reaching out helping hands.
I am currently a senior at Mineola High School and throughout my 5 years here, I had an amazing time
Good school but could be better. Most teachers genuinely care about the students and there success while some are a little weird. I honestly believe that safety is their number 1 priority, which is lovely.
