As I have completed my Junior year, I am sad to see my time coming to an end. I have gone to this school since 6th grade and love it. Since it is a 6-12 school, you get to know the staff well and build a strong community. Being able to be good friends with the staff is awesome and I enjoy all the teachers. If you are looking for a tight-knit community then look no further. I am in the german program and believe that all our language programs are great, we even have Japanese. I have connected with so many teachers and the range of clubs is fantastic! I couldn't see myself going to any other school. Although this may seem biased, being a student for 6 years in the same school speaks for itself. Our principal is fantastic and has brought awesome changes to the school. The support students get from the staff is fantastic. All in all, I love this school and all that it has to offer. If you want to continue with your language, I recommend that you go here.
Milwaukee School of Languages is a diverse school for people of kinds of backgrounds and ethnicities. They have many languages students Corley learned from their elementary school and continue to learn throughout their 7 years being enrolled at MSL. That is another unique thing about the school you grow up with people and see all the changes from one another for 7 years. Build huge bonds with teachers and other families, and staff to the point where you all become like family. The teachers are very involved with students and try their hardest to make a child continues to learn whether they have struggles or not. The guidance counselors are very hands on and are willing to learn about every child academic needs and the special education department is very hands on and open to being around the nonadaptive students. People are nice and very understanding and the children are great to be around. They are not perfect but they are fun to be around and get a good laugh out.
The School makes for a fun, entertaining environment in the form of watching fights (both verbal and physical) , “teachers” throwing temper tantrums, the inability to find stable teachers (both mentally and physically) and the lack of control the “adults” have over the students. If you’re looking for a fun time and a not so good education then I definitely recommend MSL to be your school!
