Milwaukee Parkside School for the Arts Reviews

This school has a very caring staff and my three children who attend here enjoy it very much. If you are looking for a school that focuses on the arts and diversity, this is the place for you! The school is safe, but class sizes can often be too large in the upper and middle school grades. It offers many extracurricular activities including a variety of team sports, forensics, and other arts related clubs.

Parkside has many amazing qualities like a very dedicated staff and different arts exposure that aren't seen throughout the district. There are only two downfalls . First are the student fees. The fees are $50 per student &although we're told those fees are used for field trips with the focus being arts , for example the art museum& the symphony, in some cases those trips are actually paid for by the district. That then poses the question what are those fees actually going towards? Secondly the biggest problem is the very large class sizes going from fourth grade through the middle school. If you prefer smaller class sizes Parkside wouldn't be the best choice. My children have attended Parkside for many years but won't be attending the middle school. Still this is a great school for younger children and the staff are very caring and experienced. So if you're hoping for arts exposure &diversity this is definitely the school for your young children.
I actually go to this school and it's pretty fun and awesome. Most of the staff, especially the teachers, are very welcoming to new kids. They do many fun activities with classes. Art projects are common throughout the year. The classrooms are decorated nicely and neatly. The teachers do a great job in what they do. Students, like me, go on many field trips, mostly to places like the theater or museum. The only thing I do not like about this school is all of the fees the parents and students have to pay throughout the year. It's such a hassle. Overall, a pretty good public school. I highly recommend students to go here, especially little ones for a truly fun art experience. :3
