The guidance department could use more counselors to help with college applications and help with scholarships and grants. They offered some help, but were overwhelmed with the number of students needing assistance.
I think it would be helpful for there to be a few counselors who just focused on helping seniors. There has been a lot of turnover in the administration over my four years at Milton High School. More stability with the leadership would be great. I had many wonderful experiences with the art and drama departments. I was in all 8 plays over my four years and have so many great memories and experiences. The Drama coach and tech director were amazing, dedicating many hours to students and the success of the productions. I think there should be more funding for arts and drama, compared to funding for sports. Many mornings the announcements for all students would mention sporting events, but nothing about drama.

In general, Milton High School is a positive learning environment for almost all students, and helps to nurture and prepare learners for college or careers outside of high school to the best of its ability. Administration turnover has been an issue recently, as well as a somewhat lack of recognition for student voice, in addition to a general lack of diversity. Overall, its facilities, teacher-student relationships, and its high level of rigor available for the students who seek it are the schools greatest strengths and help to encourage students to explore deeper learning and to find success later on in life.
The culture at Milton High School is irreplaceable, it is strong, prominent, and positive. Upon entering Milton High School one can quickly recognize the culture at Milton High School, because it is at the forefront. Pep Rallies, a student led television show that is broadcasted to the whole school about three times a month, and an app rewarding students points for attending school sponsored events are just a few activities and programs created to bolster the culture at Milton High School. Milton is a close-knit community, and the education system reflects the town connection. The teachers at Milton High School genuinely care about their students, and the student body as a whole is very positive and supportive of one another. It is an often occurrence that when attending a Milton High School event students and faculty are supporting and encouraging to their peers, teammates, or students surrounding them.
