This small, rural high school is cool! They have the resources to prepare students for the real world and set them up to do well in life. The teachers are supportive of our goals and go the extra mile to help us achieve our dreams.
The guidance department could use more counselors to help with college applications and help with scholarships and grants. They offered some help, but were overwhelmed with the number of students needing assistance.
I think it would be helpful for there to be a few counselors who just focused on helping seniors. There has been a lot of turnover in the administration over my four years at Milton High School. More stability with the leadership would be great. I had many wonderful experiences with the art and drama departments. I was in all 8 plays over my four years and have so many great memories and experiences. The Drama coach and tech director were amazing, dedicating many hours to students and the success of the productions. I think there should be more funding for arts and drama, compared to funding for sports. Many mornings the announcements for all students would mention sporting events, but nothing about drama.

When I attended school here, there was a variety of experiences that shaped my time. For the most part, faculty and staff will sacrifice a lot to help you succeed the most that you can. There are definitely some improvements that can be made from diversity to equality to mental health awareness.
