The best parts for me is having a Career Technical Education program for my future interest. It teaches me a lot about what i want to know. The one bad thing is how political it is for some jobs. In my Junior year I learned nothing from my CTE teacher and they were hired by knowing higher ups and not because they were 100% involved with teaching.
School failed to recognize students high functioning autism characteristics. School neglected to notify parents they wanted to have a meeting with student. School policy it is required to notify parents and to request parents to attend meeting. At meeting student was told that if they spoke to teachers, guidance or another student about their problems they would be suspended for the remainder of the school year. After meeting student had a autistic meltdown and has been dealing with PTSD since. Student had always been on the Honor/Distinguished Honor Role with no history of being a problem. Parents requested to speak with School Superintendent twice but no attempt from school was ever tried to setup meeting.
The teachers and faculty here at this school are phenomenal. They convey what they are teaching well and all of them are very helpful when I am having a difficult time with a subject. The principal teaches the students proper etiquettes on being helpful to others, and learning when to get help. He also teaches the students to be nice to each other and there hasn’t been any disclaimers this year.
