Milton High School is the epitome of a truly well-rounded high school experience. The administration advertises the school as a "triple-A school," claiming the equal presence of Arts, Academics, and Athletics. As a student, I can confirm this is an extremely accurate description. I participated in the chorus program all four years, took high-level and superb quality academic courses, and competed with the equestrian for four years as well, acting as captain for two of those years. In my spread across different realms of the school, I am not unique as there are plenty of students who do the same. We are/were supported by the school from all sides, and no element of the school seems overshadowed by another; both the theater and football teams have won state championships or competitions, and students are sent to international science fairs and HOSA competitions yearly just to name a few accolades.
Milton is a great school filled with academically excelling students and teachers/administrators who actually care for your well-being. The sports and arts are terrific! The Cirque program is ranked at the top in the nation and many of our sports are state champions or ranked at the top of the state. There are numerous club at school so you will definitely be able to find what you enjoy. If not, it is easy to start your own club too. However, the school culture absolutely sucks with a plethora of stuck-up materialistic children feeding off their parents' wealth. Along with this, around 50% of these students do drugs or vape blatantly in front of teachers in lower level classes.
In all honesty, I wish I went to a smaller school where the AP and Honors kids weren't so separated and glorified, and where I knew my peers better. There's hardly enough time to do the homework let alone study for the tests. Most state tests are run with a variety of strange facts to study that are in the multiple choice answers. You are likely to spend all your time studying for these tests and have little time for extracurricular - especially with the heavy emphasis on AP where this happens more often. The AP and Honors teachers are likely very effective from what I've heard - involving the students in their choices of activities. The general education classroom, however, is a disaster. There isn't much emphasis on choice or independent research, and the teachers there have a very low expectation for their students. Because the Math curriculum changes so often, most in the general classroom are completely jaded.
