Miller Grove does not adequately prepare its students for college readiness, because it does not have enough AP and honors courses which are vital points colleges look at. Also there are not many motivated fellow students at the school to take the few AP courses there were. This is not the schools fault, but I feel as though this mirrors the overall learning environment of Miller Grove. The school does offer dual enrollment, which I participated in 2 years, I feel as though the school should do a better job at informing its dual enrollment students how college credits are transferred and have one on one talks with them about how they will start college. The good news about Miller Grove is that the school is only a little over a decade old and that the infrastructure is not bad at all, the teachers are pretty good, and because the basketball team is known around the state, that creates a lot of school spirit! Take it from a 2017 graduate that attended Miller Grove 9-12 grade.

Met great people! Teachers were very interested in my education, and helpful. Supportive administration. Various and exciting organizations to join.
Home of the Wolverines, it a school located in the DeKalb County School District. This two floor school is filled with teachers who excell in helping students, I believe that anyone who attends can attest to that. As far as sports, Miller Grove host one of the top basketball teams in the state. With a total of 7 state championship titles in its past 13 years of existence, this is truly a school for a basketball player. Academically, Miller Grove has a tremendous variety of AP, accelerated, and gifted classes. In addition, they also have dual enrollment classes at Georgia Piedmont Technical College. In a nutshell, Miller Grove is a beautiful school with great academics, sports, and clubs. As the schools motto says, “This is a school where you MUST DO SOMETHING”.
