I have had good and bad experiences at Millbrook but I am lucky enough to have had one thing make my experience more memorable and that was the music at Millbrook! No just me, but also my friends in the program have learned so much and had so many opportunities from being a part. Millbrook really prepares their musicians for more competitive situations and college music. They groom their students to be leaders inside and outside the program and to become role models from the younger people in the program. The music department made my experience everything I needed. Outside of that, there are really good teachers scattered around the school but not all of them are worth it. The administration seems very out of touch with the students and intimidating. If you don't have the most solid time management skills AP and Honors courses may not be the way to go. There are a lot of clubs and it is really easy to start one if there is something you want to see happen in the school.

The choir program is phenomenal and its staff is legendary when it comes to helping students reach the best of their abilities. The drama department is fun. There is color guard and multiple band classes as well. As for academics, there are AP classes in which you can receive college credit by registering with LFCC instead of taking the exam. Some teachers are questionable in their tactics and professionalism. The others try their best to be helpful. Speaking on helpfulness, I went to the guidance office once during my four years for help with mental health worries and was brushed off and shooed to class. However, other counselors have been described as much more supportive than the one I had, so do not be afraid to ask to talk to someone else. They have many resources for college help. I am not the most versed person on MHS' sports, but from what I gathered, the football team was average, the baseball team was amazing, and the other sports were less important to the school itself.
Millbrook High is a great school with lots of amazing teachers. However, honors classes are the way to go. Many kids have a harder time taking regular classes simply because the teachers are not very good. The administration is new as of this year so there's not much I can say about that other than good luck!
