My experience was defined by my involvement in the arts departments and the International Baccalaureate program, both of which I would rate highly. Millbrook definitely excels in the arts! The instruction is excellent and the opportunities are there, I only wish the school would devote more money and resources to the arts instead of throwing money at creating student lounges with giant flat screen TVs. Millbrook has an excellent IB program. They make sure you succeed and I had some great teachers that really cared about what they did. My success in that program and the arts programs helped me get into a prestigious university along with many other students.

I have not enjoyed my experience at Millbrook. Of course there has been positive moments, but I think that it has been really hard trying to find a group that I can kinda fit in. This is the same case for every public school, but if you have any religious background whatsoever you will have a tough time. Sometimes it is hard to have normal debate-type conversations because of the obstinacy that is rampant not just among students, but teachers as well. If you are interested in Digital Media, Agriculture, Music, or Art; this school might be good for you. The safety measures are pretty good, but sometimes will end up being more inconvenient to students with negligible difference in safety. This is not a college prep school in the slightest. I have heard that the food is not too great, but I cannot confirm nor deny this statement. If you just want to graduate and move on to a trade, this might be the school for you.
I love going to Millbrook! I'm a senior, and as the year is ending, I am eternally grateful for my 4 amazing, exciting high school years. Teachers and administration at MHS are truly amazing, supportive, and patient. I've never had a bad teacher here. Students are very nice...there is a wonderful sense of community. MHS's IB program, advanced courses, and wide range of electives, as well as special education program prove that students learn at their own pace. In my classes, we do lots of hands-on, engaging learning. MHS has an AMAZING athletics program as well as fine arts. You wouldn't see it in any other school. I am very excited for the next 4 years I will be spending at Harvard in Massachusetts. Millbrook has very well prepared me for college. We have so many fun events here, and I love being in my school. It has truly become my home. I have had an amazing four years. Once a wildcat, always a wildcat!
