My tenure at Mill Springs Academy proved profoundly disillusioning, prompting my transition to a public school during my high school journey. The considerable tuition costs appeared incongruous with the institution's conspicuous dearth of requisite mental health resources, escalating substance abuse issues, and a conspicuous shortfall in the promised academic rigor. The enigmatic disappearance of insurance funds in March further compounded the institutional opacity regarding financial stewardship. Concurrently, the school's physical infrastructure exhibited signs of distress, indicative of inadequate maintenance and resource allocation. While the institution did commendably celebrate events such as "Queer Afro-European Month" and "Drag-Coming," these commendable endeavors remained somewhat eclipsed by systemic insufficiencies. In summation, my circumspection precludes me from endorsing Mill Springs Academy to discerning seekers of academic excellence and holistic growth.
In the intricate tapestry of this educational odyssey, a single star unravels the institution's enigma. Queer Afro-European Month briefly gleams, but labyrinthine complexities ensnare. Vanishing insurance, akin to a mysterious inception, questions fiscal responsibility. Meanwhile, the new school's edifice crumbles, echoing the erosion of reality within.
And then, like characters in a dark thriller, administrators plot to dismantle the Comm Arts program, imperiling creative expression. A corrupt cabal emerges, driven by greed, extracting every last dollar from vulnerable students, especially those with special needs. In this surreal narrative of deceit and subterfuge, the school resembles an inception within an inception, hiding a deeper, darker truth.

My experience as a teacher at this school is deeply disheartening. The administration's lack of financial transparency, coupled with an unacceptably low teacher salary of just $45,000 a year, raises serious concerns. Moreover, their proposed shrinkage of the Communication Arts department and unfair colleague firings compound the issues. What makes matters worse is the apparent corruption within the administration. This school has immense potential, but it could be so much better if the administration weren't plagued by these problems.
MSA help me with my learning disables and they help me be the best prosen I can be they also help me with teaching and helping others like me and my friends.
You probably found this page because you are considering Mill Springs. I could share anecdotes of my child's experience, of course; but if you find yourself in considering Mill Springs under duress, you'd probably take those anecdotes with a grain of salt the same way I did. Because you've heard the adage that people who are happy/satisfied don't take the time to right reviews and you're a smart person. So I will simply leave you with the advice I wish someone had given me when considering Mill Springs - above all else, trust your gut. Tour the school, spend time with the administration, ask probing questions, Google every possible search you can think of. If something in your gut is telling you that something doesn't feel right - you should trust that. Mill Springs is a place for a significantly smaller percentage of the population than their marketing implies and if you have even a shred of doubt, then you will most likely not find the right fit for your child at Mill Springs.
The administration at this school is horrible, and makes teachers and student a like unhappy. Many teachers (25% of them) quit last year because of the administration. Rules are draconian at best, and the student body is clique-y.
Absolutely dreadful. They make you put your phone up for the entire school hours but yet, kids who are in Esports are allowed to use their Nintendo Switch during class. Very unfair and also the uniform policy is awful. Some kids are allowed to be out of school uniform while others are not. I thought the point of school uniforms was to show that you belong to the school. I believe that the school uniforms are just used as a way to get the hard-earned money our parents worked for. Please anyone who wants to go to this school shouldn't. There are also a myriad of other problems. The is school is run poorly.
An overall terrible experience in my life and I hope they are able to fix there issues. The teachers in the school are great, But the administrators are terrible. This school will not teach Students integrity and compassion. The honor system at the school teaches the students that when someone does something wrong Instead of handling like adults it teaches them that the job of all the students publicly humiliate said student until they apologize.
I had a terrible experience at Mill Springs Academy. The school enforced uniforms for some kids and not for others. The voting encouraged popularity and bullying. Teachers swept kids being nasty to one another under the rug. Kids who were being severely bullied were punished for sticking up for themselves. The kids bullying received nothing and the child being bullied who finally couldn’t stand it anymore got in-school suspension and was stuck in one room with no windows all day long. I left after 5 months because I was unhappy with the school and now I’m a nanny.
I knew something was wrong when I felt my blood boil coming to this school. The level system is hot garbage. Having to read a letter in front of many students is embarrassing. Let's say you were on level s for getting in trouble. Now, let's say you have improved and the teachers let you out of level s. If the students dislike you, you are at a huge disadvantage. Having to write an essay and read it to an entire gymnasium full of students is like being lined up for the chopping block. A terrible system that will absolutely destroy self-esteem. I would rather get suspended than be on level s. This school is distasteful and corrupt.
Went back to public school and I would say I have a 3x homework load. Academics are too easy and the administration will do anything to cut corners and make the most amount of profit. The structure of the school looks like it is withering away, power outages happening, many of the teachers and staff left, and the school lunches cost $15 for the most basic food on planet Earth. If you think you are ready for college you are not. Be prepared to drop out or fail miserably. There are better schools out there this one is just overpriced and underwhelming. Their ambition is soulless revolving around money. All you would be doing, paying for the tuition is just throwing money down the drain. 0 benefit whatsoever.
Mill Springs literally saved my life.
The teachers care so much and try.to challenge us to be our best.
I've been there sine 8th grade and I am looking forward to graduating this year.

We love MSA since my daughter did her last 2 years of high school. Teachers really care about the students . They go the extra Mile to help them get ready for college and next steps.
They have rigorous academics and caring Teachers.

Some of the upper school teachers will not be afraid to tell the students their opinions. They will talk about there political opinions and personal beliefs and if you don't agree they will argue with you.
I hate this school. This website is horrible. It says and I quote "we don't have enough response to know if our students feel safe here" That means that no body even actively interacts with your website. But another school in Norcross called Brookhaven Innovation Academy, provides so many amazing events and has wonderful teachers unlike this terrible school.
Mill Springs has allowed me develop confidence in my abilities. I have improved in all of my subjects. This is because the classroom sizes are much smaller and the teachers work close with you.
I love everything about this school. I wish I had come to Mill Springs Academy sooner. They give me the support that I need and that other schools (that shall remain unnamed) neglected to provide me with.
