Military Magnet Academy Reviews
Rating 3.47 out of 5 76 reviews
Overall, I thank Military Magnet Academy for providing me with the education that has allowed me to gain many opportunities and more. But, there is a need for improvement in many areas. For instance, I believe that we need more district funding. Being that we are a small, urban school, it is difficult for us to get more advanced classes that bigger schools have the advantage of having. Also, I want to see more diversity among our student body. The majority of our student body consists of African Americans and Hispanics. In the future, I would like to see more students from different backgrounds. The biggest problem of all, in my opinion, are the unnecessary disciplinary actions. I believe that the administrators at this school enforce ridiculous policies over matters that could be resolved without referrals or suspension.
I have been attending Military Magnet Academy since I’ve been in sixth grade. Throughout the years, I’ve have an array of experiences in managing the academics and military way of life. Overall, the Academy has molded me into a leader, prepared to take on adulthood. But, I believe that there is room for improvement. I believe that we need more funding to provide more resources for students for SAT and ACT prep, STEM careers, and college readiness. Also, I believe that administration needs to work on communicating better with the students, instead of always handing down punishments in almost all cases.
Military Magnet is a very good school! The education program is one of the best, and the sports programs get better with each passing year. Overall everything is great, and I would recommend this school to all middle and high school parents.
