Our facilities are fairly nice compared to other schools in our conference. My only complaints are the constant sewage smells coming from the bathrooms and our heating/cooling system that doesn't work at all. In some rooms it is 60 degrees and in others it is 80 degrees - all depending on the day. It's really distracting, unpleasant and hard to plan what to wear, because I never know what to expect. Our technology is alright, teachers have smart boards and students have been issued tablets or chrome books in the past few years.

Our guidance counselor does a good job making sure everyone is prepared for college. We have some college prep classes now, which is nice. I feel like it's definitely helped me. Parent involvement however is at its highest involving sports.

We have a limited group of clubs and organizations at our school. Funding normally goes all to sports, so funding in other places is minimal. However, some clubs get more support than others. In the past, more clubs were available but have kind of disappeared since I got into high school. I feel there could be more of a variety, but with the number of kids in sports and actually attending the school with free time, there wouldn't be enough participants. Our superintendent is very helpful with FBLA.
One thing that I loved about Midway is the school spirit. Although I would like for there to be more teachers in the high school and lower levels who are more hands on.
