Midland Trail High School taught me many meaningful lessons not only in the classroom, but also in life. During my time in school, our community suffered many hardships and losses. Despite the emotional state of the school, teachers, administration, and people all over the area, Midland Trail High school came together and supported one another unlike anything I have ever seen. Some academic strong suits I believe my school possesses, are strong communication skills, school spirit, and inclusivity. Areas I believe Midland Trail can improve in, are counseling services, disciplinary action, and classes such as home economics, math programs, and ACT and SAT preparation
Midland Trail High School provides a comunity-like learning environment. With small class sizes and nice teachers, Midland Trail provides a nurturing learning environment. The administrative staff is friendly and tries to be available when needed. Most of the students are not passionate about their academics, which drags down the students who do want to learn. I hope that one day this will change and more students will stop taking their education for granted.
MIDLAND TRAIL HIGH SCHOOL, is quite frankly, one of the best high schools in West Virginia. We are a community school, the things we do couldn’t be possible without the great Hico and Ansted communities. The people that say poor things about our school, are the ones that feel entitled and get upset that they don’t get their way.
MTHS has the best teachers and students in Fayette County. There is just something about Hico that doesn’t compare to any other campus. Bullying isn’t a major issue here as it is at surrounding schools.
The school has just underwent many renovations and a six classroom addition for AMS. The students are starting to have a bigger voice in what goes on at the school.
We have the most caring and dedicated staff. Always there to help! We’re family here! And I will always cherish the memories made at Midland Trail! #HailTtail
