My highschool experience was great. Everyone is friendly, of course you have people who aren't but if you get into something you like whether it is sports or music like me that creates a foundation for you. A second home, you get to go on cool trips and compete! The school also provides college courses completely free which gives you a head start on college. Most SUNY schools take and accept the credits. I think the only thing Middletown Highschool has to correct is their choice of words towards specific things. Like for black history month they gave us watermelons and fried chicken which is really just a stereotype. Overall though, the teachers are really good they care so if you are struggling in anyway they help they stay after and it's a great way to actually get some alone time other than being in a classroom where you feel intimidated to speak up.

I would first like to start off and admit that security is too lenient with children, which weakens their authority. Some teachers force their religions down other students throats. And they favour sports over the arts, which honestly leaves the school's art students at a disadvantage.
Even though some of the children are terrible, I would like to admit that Middletown had offered a great music and drama program that has helped me grow gradually. I experienced many challenges in my academics, since I was pushed into AP, Honors, and College courses while in high school. I had the luxury of connecting with teachers that pushed me during class and office hours, as well as a guidance counselor who cheered me on and made me feel at home. I honestly don't think I would have shaped really well if it wasn't for certain teachers and my guidance counselor!
There are so many opportunities to get involved in school and the community.
I love all the opportunities that I have been offered at Middletown High School. We have pretty good sports teams, with beautiful facilities. The music program is also really good here. My one issue with Middletown is how crowded the high school is; we just had a new addition added and it's still very crowded.
