This High school is excellent at all that they offer. They have a wide range of different careers programs. such career programs are health, agriculture, baking, cooking, carpentry, auto shop, and much more!
Overall the experience was good. Every school has its flaws. Most of the teachers were great. The career options were great, unfortunately sometimes you don’t get into the show you want and it’s quite discouraging. Also wish that they would focus more on the career aspect than the academics because that’s what the school is for. If it was for all academic purposes then most kids could’ve just went to a regular Highschool.
When I first went to MCVTS, I had come from a completely different and far district. I knew no one and I felt completely alone, I remember sitting in my first class freaking out that I was going to make no friends and that it was all a big mistake. However then some people came to me and talked to me, they were nervous too but they said it was better to be freaking out together than alone. I went through the rest of my day quietly observing but I found I enjoyed the school and its atmosphere. I found the shop classes very enjoyable, some people were like me that was nervous but the teachers helped to break the shells and we got to learn some new things about trades. I had gone in thinking I was gonna be a baker but thanks to the work of the counselors and teachers, I found myself enjoying Graphic design more. . I found myself loving graphic design but mostly in designing characters and backgrounds.
