It’s a supportive environment, there’s just very poor communication, few whole school or grade level activities, and little to truly prepare students for college. It’s hard to find many teachers that are really skilled, can actually teach, and care about their students’ well being. It’s frustrating to be in a school where you are the only person who supports yourself succeeding. Middle Creek needs way more to keep the students bonded and help support them for the here and now as well as the future. Just because we’re good at sports doesn’t mean we’re good at anything else and that’s a problem because sports aren’t going to get us all careers and stable futures.

I have mixed feelings about Middle Creek. I moved here from another state for the 2018-2019 school year and found it easier to make friends, but the quality of students wasn't great. Fights weren't an uncommon occurrence and students would smoke their Juuls on the bus. Despite the diversity rating being an A, I barely had any minorities in any of my classes unless it was a non-honors/AP course. At my old high school, I had been in orchestra and played the violin and was absolutely shocked to find out that Middle Creek only has a band (which has no stringed instruments). Some teachers were great, some didn't seem to want to be there. The school building itself is completely outdated and the bathrooms are atrocious.
Middle Creek High School offered me an amazing high school experience. It was a positive atmosphere with teachers that truly cared about my success. It was an environment where I was pushed to be my best self and do my best. The environment the students proposed was astonishing, my best friends were made and even those who I didn't know offered a helping hand when I needed it. If I could change something about Middle Creek it would be the development of our STEM courses. Our science and math departments are inconsistent and lack the capabilities to promote what the school claims to offer.
