Middle College High School is a great opportunity to take for those interested in earning college credits while taking normal high school courses. It is a small school situated on the San Joaquin Delta College campus; although MCHS doesn't offer a whole lot of clubs, there are events hosted by the college that students can attend during their free time, and the Spirit Rally that takes place each semester rocks! Students find it easy to connect with others and, in my opinion, it feels like family. The teachers and staff are approachable and willing to help when you have a problem. Having the small high school experience alongside the college experience was the right decision - I wouldn't have it any other way! Go dragons!

I've been attending Middle College High School since freshman year. Honestly, I was skeptical about going to a school other than my designated school, where most of my middle school/elementary school friends would be. However, I am proud to say that I have came across some of the best people at Middle College High School. There is a lot of diversity among the student body and the school count is so small that you basically know everyone! Our academic achievements are beyond impressive and we have amazing after school clubs and activities. Although we have no sports, I can vouch that we have the best p.e teacher in the district! It's an honor to call myself a MCHS dragon!
I liked that Middle College High School provided students with the opportunity to take community college courses alongside our high school curriculum. I feel that it definitely prepared me better for college and ultimately made my transition into a 4 year college a lot more smoother. Something that I would hope that the school would change is to stop advertising that going to the school would help students graduate from college within two years. I think that a more accurate statement would be to say that the program can help students finish their general education requirements by the end of high school. The program did not advise me much about prerequisite courses for particular majors, as this definitely did not take less than two years for me to complete as an undergraduate.
