Our son is just finishing his first year at Mid Pen and so far, we give it an enthusiastic thumbs up. The kids are kind and accepting of each other, the student body is very diverse in all ways- and all are accepted. Athletics were high on our son's priority list, and the balance has been great! He has time for sports and homework, without feeling overscheduled! The teachers have been warm and helpful. Our son is really coming out of his shell as his confidence grows. We are so glad to see him happy and to know he is actually enjoying his high school years! That is exactly what we hoped to find! The administration is also very approachable and seeks parent feedback regularly. The parents are involved and supportive. All in all, it is an oasis of sanity in the middle of the frenetic pace of Silicon Valley.

Small school with lots of personalized education opportunities. Good school for people with learning disabilities or who need more attention. Amazing music program, good drama program, opportunities for art, sports, and everything large, public schools have such as dances, pep rallies, basketball, musicals, field trips, etc. Challenging and hard classes for those seeking a higher education, as well as slower paced classes for those who aren't. It is located in a bad area for traffic, but it is close to Facebook, Palo Alto, Redwood City, and other places with good food and fun things to do.
This school is the best kept secret on the Peninsula. The kids are kind, the teachers really care and go above and beyond for the students, and most important, kids are happy here. They do what high school should do- facilitate transition to adulthood! These kids are ready to fly by the time they graduate, and they feel optimistic and good about themselves and their skills! What a great gift! Bravo!!!
