My experience at MICDS has been very good so far! I've had mental health struggles and they've been extremely supportive and flexible throughout that time. The curriculum is vast and interesting, it is easy to reach out to professors for support, and the college counseling program is absolutely incredible. One thing that I would mention as a negative is the intensity of the academics. While I have without a doubt benefitted from the rigor, it is important to emphasize just how rigorous the school truly is. It's fast-paced, and I didn't truly realize how intense it was until approximately sophomore year. While I am confident this is the right place for me, the rigor is very important to take into note: it can be a detriment to mental health and extremely difficult to balance the workload with sports, clubs, and a social life. Despite all this though, I do recommend this school - it has truly changed the course of my life and my education. Thank you MICDS!

My son recently graduated from MICDS and had an amazing experience. The faculty is outstanding - they pushed him to reach his full potential while providing support along the way. Every teacher was willing to meet with him before school, after school, during a collaborative period. He sang in choir from 1st grade through 12th grade, played many different sports, was on student council and served as class president one year, volunteered at sports camps in the summers and made lifelong friends. The opportunities are endless!

Everything about MICDS is great! However, the arts program is still in need of development. The academics, social, and athletic scene are all exceptional. The teachers are very supportive and always want to help you succeed. Not to mention amazing health services for physical and mental health. Amazing school, but may not be the best choice if you are interested in pursuing an art.
