The amount of opportunities a student at Palmetto has is amazing! There are so many clubs, electives, and extracurricular activities to choose from. On the other hand, some of the extracurricular activities don’t get lots of funding so students don’t get a full experience like they should. Also, some of the teachers at Palmetto could be a bit more interactive with the students as far as teaching.
I have been a student at Palmetto for the past three years. In my experience, it has been a tremendously welcoming community with a thriving school spirit. People at Palmetto have the opportunity to take a wide variety of classes at all different levels of rigor. Students at Palmetto are also exposed to 60+ active clubs to join. Everyone can find a place at Palmetto. The teachers are all very passionate. Of course some of the teachers are not the best, but that is like any school. The one criticism I must say about Palmetto is the fact that the counselors are not easily accessible. Each counselor has 250-300+ students and are often very busy to be very available for students. Overall, my experience at Palmetto has been very positive and I would definitely recommend it to students thinking about attending the school.
