My time at Miami Central Senior High is really fun. If I was to go back in time to when I was deciding which school to choose, I’ll definitely choose this one. Although this school is very fun, there are changes that can be made. This school focuses too heavily on their sports program rather than their academics. I would love to see a well planned out celebration for the honor roll students. But do we always get one? Nope. Just how the sports program gets praised for their athleticism, we should get praised for our outstanding performance in academics. This would surely encourage more students to work harder in school. I love my school, but everyone isn’t perfect!
My time at Miami Central is a varied experience many times I have been disappointed but other times I was grateful for my educational opportunities. One of my major disappointments from the school stems from the lack of an engineering program which is the biggest reason for me to attend the school in the first place. What I thought to be a comprehensive look into the industries I have been interested in my entire life turned out to be just two certifications and a shirt. While the two certifications for Inventor and Dreamweaver were good insights into the work of the Robotics and Computer web design industries respectively I was looking for more of a hands-on experience. In my eleventh grade year I lucky to have a teacher to push for more hands-on training and got to practice real-life robotics. All though we had to stop because of the pandemic, I was still grateful for the experience I had at Miami Central.
Miami Central is located in North Miami. The school is very diverse. In my opinion, we have some of the best teaches at Miami central. The football team is amazing. The new band director is killing it right now! The school is so diverse that the students create their language and way to communicate. The school provides students with a lot of collegial level classes making them ready for the rigorous classes in college.
