When I attended Metropolitan Business Academy, more commonly referred to as Metro, I had a great experience and received many academic benefits. Metropolitan allowed me to take college classes (which differentiate from student to student based off of grades), connected me to many different Yale learning programs such as PIER, Yale Model Congress, Yale Aspirations, and more. The way I took advantage of all the connections the school gave me, the more I shaped my experience for the better within Metro.

Great school with very nice teachers but there needs to be a better preparedness for the world/college in the sense of self-responsibility and conduct. The teachers and academics (specifically the grading system), tend to baby students rather than challenge students. The school needs to do a better job at promoting accountability and setting a better/more realistic standard of what will be expected of them in the workforce and/or college once they leave.
Metropolitan Business Academy (MBA) is a pretty good school. It is full of a bunch of diverse people, who all bring great things to the school. MBA is under new leadership at the moment so the students are adjusting to the new principal. We aren't sure how to feel about this at the moment. MBA teachers are better than most and students have few teachers they strongly dislike. This was my first school on my list because I shadowed here and kinda liked it. The food is alright, we have deli, and hot lunch sometimes sucks. Overall it is a decent school and I recommend it.
