I have gone to Metro Christian Academy since kindergarten, and there is truly nothing like it! The teachers and administration are fantastic and have the students' best interests at heart. When all grades, from P-3 to 12th, are in the same building, a strong sense of community is built, and otherwise unlikely connections/friendships flourish. Not only are the academics unmatched, the athletics and extracurricular opportunities are also beyond compare of other private schools in the area. In conclusion, I wouldn't trade my time at Metro for anything and seriously recommend it to anyone!
The teachers, coaches, and administrators at Metro Christian Academy consistently ensured my growth as a person while furthering my education in the classroom. I would not be the person I am today without the leaders of this school. Grateful does not even begin to describe how I feel towards my teachers as they continuously poured into my life as a person. They allow for creativity while learning rather than forcing students to learn by only their methods. I am truly blessed to have been a student at Metro Christian Academy. I am entering college knowing that my education at Metro prepared me for my future education in other institutions.
My experience with Metro Christian Academy was average, at best. I played 4 years of soccer and 2 years of football and loved every second of it. I liked the teachers and of course my friends, but when it came to the disciplinary staff of the school, they were very unfair. I was blind to the fact that Metro had certain students that would never get in trouble until about my Junior year. Being private Christian school, they expect you to mirror the way Jesus acted, starting with your appearance. One of the rules was that you had to be clean shaven 24/7. There were kids in my grade and Seniors that would have facial hair that you could grab with your fingers. I will never forget the time I got pulled out of class to go shave because of my "mustache". It was the saddest excuse for a mustache I've ever seen, yet the other kids don't even get a second glance when they look like a lumberjack! That's just one of the many experiences I had with Metro. It's all politics at that school.
