MPCDS is truly a community that fosters the entire student. The facility and staff are very supportive and flexible to suit individual needs of the students and their families. With over 50 class offerings for High Schoolers, students can select challenging and engaging classes! We are excited to build on the foundation created at Country Day!
The school is amazing in terms of college readiness, and perhaps the best (along with Newman) in the New Orleans area. That is what you get for the tuition you pay. However, other rankings are false. The athletic here are terrible, and as much as they like to boast state championships, they play in one of the worst divisions in Louisiana. Also, academics at other schools are better (ACT scores, National merit finalists, etc.), but this school has very good connections and gets is students into great colleges.
Our son is at Country Day and my husband and I could not be happier. We looked at several other schools and selecting one was a very difficult decision. We live uptown and were worried about the commute each day--but it has not been an issue at all. We are so glad we chose Country Day! The teachers are amazing, the facilities are spectacular, and our son is so happy to go to school every day. You can't go wrong with Country Day.
