Messiah Lutheran Classical Academy (MLCA) is a dynamic combination of classical education with a caring family atmosphere. At Messiah we work to ignite the love of learning in our students through rich classical literature and in depth studies of history, rhetoric and science.

Students are also instructed in arts: They experience instruction in art classes, piano, choir and stringed instruments.

All this wonderful curriculum is taught in an atmosphere that nurtures and encourages students in their faith in the Gospel of Christ. Small class sizes and highly educated experienced teachers make MLCA an excellent foundational learning experience for all children.

School of Logic

The logic or dialectic stage is the next stage in the Trivium, a grouping of three levels of brain development that has been used as a model of education for millennia. At some point in late childhood or early adolescence, student’s brains begin to wrestle with the “why’s” and “how’s” of content. They begin to make connections, see correlations, and understand cause and effect.

We love MLCA! We pulled out of public school after the 4th grade and have been at MLCA for 2 years. I cannot stress how much this school has done for my child and our family! The staff is wonderful. They are responsive and actually ensure the class, the whole class is on the same page when learning new concepts before moving on! My girl loves the opportunity to learn the violin and botany! I cannot adequately express the change in my girl! She has gone from shy loner who was teased (bullied) in public school to making wonderful friends and playing on the soccer, volleyball and basketball team! She loves having chapel buddies and helping the little ones, she has gained so much confidence! MLCA is so much more than a school. It’s a family that nurtures and cares not only for the kids but the whole family. We were welcomed and included from day one!

MLCA is a wonderful place to work! Each of the teachers here truly care about the students and are committed to providing the best academic experience possible. In addition, they strive to both model and instill Christian values and ethics for their students and for each other, all within a warm, safe, peaceful, loving, family environment. It is truly a pleasure to be here each and every day!

We are delighted to have our kids in this school. We have watched them grow from year to year, with academic challenges that push them to achieve their potential. For a small school, they offer a variety of opportunities in athletics, music, art, religion, and even a chess club. Our children are able to be involved with all of the above, and it is helping them to become very well-rounded without sacrificing the quality of learning in core subjects. The teachers are very knowledgeable, skilled, and kind, and it is always such a pleasure to interact with both the staff and the extended community. I strongly recommend any parent consider this school for their children, especially if faith-based values are important to your family.
