I have attended Mesilla Valley Christian Schools for 9 years, and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. The classes are small, which creates a wonderful friendships with every classmate. The teachers are kind and genuine, and they will make time for you in the day if you need homework help, or just someone to talk to. There have been several occasions where I ate lunch with a particular teacher just to talk. The teacher-student relationship is extremely unique. Above all, MVCS is a place where Christian students can gather and come to learn more about Jesus. We have Chapel every Thursday, and Bible classes everyday. It has been the best environment for me in growing more and more in faith.
The faculty is amazing, for the most part. There are a couple teachers who have a rough time teaching and the administration does not seem to do much about it. However, like I said, there have been just a couple. For the most part the school is wonderful. The teachers truly care for their students and are always happy to help in whatever way the student needs. The school has been fortunate to have wonderful coaches that consistently coach their teams to State in (boys) basketball, football, and (girls) volleyball. There are not many clubs for students to join due to the fact that it is a small school, but because it is small provides the opportunity for the students to become close with one another.
What I love about Mesilla Valley Christian Schools is the community I have. My class consists of 16 people. However, because of the size, we have become like a family. Not only this but we are brothers and sisters in Christ. At Mesilla Valley I am constantly being treated with kindness and can easily see the love of Christ.
