During my years at Mesa Vista High school I've seen a lot change from my middle school being torn down a new gym and library being built but the ting that changed the most was a new principle every year since 7th grade. I've enjoyed my years at Mesa Vista with there only being around 25 kids per grade, being able to have more one on one time with my teachers, all of the teachers and staff are extremely supportive. The only complaint i have about my high school is their is a very small choice of classes and extracurricular activities.
What I like about the school is that they have very good sports programs and are trying their best to make the school better. What I think needs to be changed is the way they're teaching kids and how there are no consequences when a student doesn't turn in work, or gets caught doing something they aren't supposed to.
I have went to Mesa Vista High School for the past 13 years and I have seen so much culture and have made many friends with both students and teachers. Even though the common core subjects were not always up to standards and the testing was detrimental, I still learned enough to pursue my dreams and move forward. The teachers made sure to let us know what is to come after high school and how to prepare for it. This may have been the only school I have started out with, but I would say it was a good school to start at.
