Mesa High School is big on traditions! There are backstories as to why their motto is "BAM" and why they always say "Carry On" etc.. It is a big school, but everyone there is basically a huge family. The students and staff are beyond supportive when it comes to their sports teams, and the teachers there really care about their students and making sure they try their hardest to succeed.
I love Mesa High's spirit as well as its desire to help its community. I was apart of a handful of different clubs and sports, and one of my favorite memories of each was the annual cemetery clean up. This event is held at the Mesa cemetery, where one of our "Z- legacies", Zedo Ishikawa is burried. At this event, all the clubs, and sports teams gather together and help clean the cemetery, by picking up trash, cleaning off the tombstones, etc... Then at the end we all gather around Ishikawa's tombstone and listen to how the traditions, spirit, and motto of "Carry On" began. This is just one of the many amazing memories I have made throughout my years at Mesa High. Im proud that I am able to tell people of how I was apart of something great! Once a Jackrabbit, always a Jackrabbit!
I've gone to Mesa High School all four years of high school. And i can honestly say i couldn't picture myself at any other high school. Mesa is full of school spirit but also still cares a tremendous amount about the education. And it is full of clubs that help out the community and take turns keeping the campus of the school clean. Another amazing thing about Mesa High is that, it is an avid demonstration school! I, myself am an avid member and i couldn't picture it any other way. I love Mesa High will all my heart.
