As a mother of 2 at MICS, I can confidently say there is nowhere else I would want my boys to be. Top notch for academics, safety, sports, fine arts, STEM, and Biblical worldview. Having a clinical psychologist on-staff has been a valuable resource as the school truly aims to keep my kids safe and excelling in all ways: academically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually!
I have been at Merritt Island Christian School for over three years and I have a enjoyed my experience here. One of my main concerns at public school was the safety and that is no longer a concern, now that that I am attending MICS. I love the safe enviroment built my the staff and administration. I would only change the disciplinary action MICS has taken in restricting the use of cellphones as a result of disciplinary action towards the majority of one grade level within the school. I would only ask for MICS to reconsider taking such drastic measures on restricting the use of electronic devices for everyone versus just disciplining those who obstructed the learning enviroment through the use of their own electronic devices.
Merritt Island Christian gives their students every opportunity to succeed and develop holistically. They offer an amazing STEM program, Fine Arts program, and Honors program!
