I liked how small it was because I knew almost everyone and I was very comfortable being myself around everyone on campus. One thing that I would like to see change is some people's poor behavior. But that is something that is just getting worse by generation and I am not sure how you would fix it.
Merkel High School was decent. Although not the best school, definitely not the worst. I would allow my children to go there. However, I would pay close attention to the information being taught. The teachers aren't terrible-- many of them are pretty average. There are a view not so good ones and a few brilliant ones. The school really tries to be innovative. However the ideas usually fall flat or are not properly done.
My experience is extremely great. When my father passed the facility stood by my family and my side through it all. I really do love Merkel High School, it's a great place to be and as always it is a great day to be a Merkel Badger
