Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School is an excellent trade school! It’s about what you make it as not what people see it to be, it has the potential to become one of the top 5 schools in Baltimore City! My overall experience at Mervo has been great, not only do they provide good education but it helped me discover my passion for the healthcare field. My passion for healthcare has been keeping me interested and engaged in trying to get a certification to be a Pharmacy Technician and going to school to be a Pharmacist. If I didn’t go to Mervo I have no idea where I would be and much effort I put into my grades and passion. Maintaining a 2.9 GPA doesn’t seem hard when I also have supportive teachers & staff members that encourage me to do my best!

I’ve had good times in Merge Vocational Technical High School; I’ve also had bad times. I love many things about my high school experience. Although it’s a school I loved how creative they got with activities to keep us as students entertained. My trade at Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School is cosmetology. Although I won’t take up that career in the future nor in college I loved the experiences. I was able to take away physical things such as a high in Hair kit plus knowledge I have not heard before. One thing that I didn’t like was the ending. Of course because of the pandemic we weren’t able to have prom, farewell or graduation. Graduation is really the whole purpose of spending those years in school period, and to not have it was such a disappointment.
My experience in this school wasnt so great at the beginning for the reason that there wasnt so much diversity of race. Its hard when u start here, but as the time passes u end up liking it. I think its a great school for someone who is planning ahead in there career as this high school is a Trade school. There are various amounts of trades to choose from and teachers around to help you get by the day just great!
