A high school experience is the understanding of basic life skills for college, and some some for life. However, not every high school system is the same which can be the most frustrating part. The thing that I would change within my high school experience would be the academic structure; which should consist of testing through the semester instead of homework.

Extracurricular opportunities are vast. We have Performing Arts club, which includes Theatre, Art, Ceramics, Dance Ensemble, Dolce (Choir) during the first semester, we prepare for our own individual shows. During the second semester we prepare for a show that integrates all our talents together. For the athletics program, we have basketball (Frosh, JV, and Vars), softball, soccer, tennis, swimming, cross country and track! FOr extra clubs, we have Kaleidoscope and that's a club that explores and studies different cultures and their food. Just recently, they had tried cultural food from the Philippines. There is another club called Club Hope for Tomorrow, and they're a very sweet club that raises money for different organizations supporting Cancer. CLT is a great group that I partake in, as the class president for three years, and for my senior year, Student Body President. We organize school events, rallies, assemblies, fundraisings along with the help of our other student body branches called Retreat Team (prepares retreats) and Core Team (organizes school masses).
Mercy High School has a smaller class whcih is very empowering because the teachers are able to help students individually. The gym and the block schedule were my favorite part about Mercy because the gym is very large, modern, great architecture, and lots of natural lighting. As for the block schedule, It was very flexible and allowed more time to learn with an hour and a half class periods and allowed two days to do homework.
