Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering is a STEM school in Tennessee. The school offers many activities that relates to fields of engineering, which is a very great opportunity. The school allows the high school students to intern at Smith and Nephew, Lebonheur Hospital, etc. On the other hand, the school can put more effort into disciplinary actions. Many students get away with misbehaving, which makes the whole school suffer the consequences. Administration needs to have stricter control, now that the amount of students misbehaving is increasing.
My short experience at Memphis Academy of science and Engineering was a great 3 years of my highschool. The teachers taught me more then I knew before enetering the school I was lost because if the public schools I cam from really wasnt teaching, caring, or focusing in the students. My school have lost of clubs or activities you can join during or after school hours such as Smith & Nephew, Moore Tech, and STEM with are all internships for only high school students. Those three internships are helpful for us because many students graduate from high school without a jobs but working for those three internships provide jobs when you graduate from high school.
During my first years at the school, I wasn't used to having to talk out in class or give presentations, but the staff helped me break out of my shell. There are some changes that I would like to see updated for the smaller students coming up to take my place. More attention to the artistic side of the school should be appreciated more and shown more for everybody to see and hear; this is for encouragement of the students and the staff that oversee them.
