Memorial Early College is an amazing school that gives people the amazing opportunity of advancing their education through early college, hence the name. The teachers are very caring of their students and the environment is very friendly. I am honored to be at this school as a freshman, and it's a chance that a lot of us won't waste. If you're looking to achieve a higher level of education after middle school, this is surely the place to be!
This school helped me learn how to act in a professional environment. It also greatly improved my ability to present information and participate in public speaking. The staff is all very sweet and supportive, but the administration has a tendency to brush off concerns at times. A promise made when entering this school was that because we are expected to act like college students they would provide us with the same level of respect. This promise was not always fuffiled. Overall the school is a good school but has some issues surrounding administration and the way students are treated.
In Memorial Early College High School, teachers and other faculty provide useful and helpful resources for the students to use so that their professions are possible! With saying that, they have STEM courses available to the students to explore. Furthermore, Memorial Early College High School accepts 100 students each year when applying as a freshman which gives a family atmosphere. To continue the school culture, students are allowed to create clubs and activities to replace the lack of sports. Also, our school doesn't provide musical electives but art electives. For the safety aspects, we do monthly drills and added lockdown features to our school so that the students are safer during such an event. Overall, Memorial Early College High School is a place for academic achievement and is one of the best decisions of my life!
