Berman is a small school so I know almost everyone in the high school by name which I like. I also like how easy it is to meet with teachers and that each teacher I have takes the time to get to know me. Berman has a dual curriculum combining Jewish studies with secular classes and offers APs for upperclassmen. I would like to see some better communication between the administration and students, less administrative turnover, a greater focus on mental health, and more of a commitment to equality for all students. I enjoy the sports Berman has to offer but I wish there would be more importance placed on all sports instead of just basketball being a big deal. Overall I have had many positives at Berman but I wish the administration had been more helpful when I did have major issues.
Good school, old building but they have fixed it up a lot. A lot of the administration has left from when I was there, so there will be different faces and leaders.
The teachers are friendly, but some struggle with controlling the classroom settings. Some teachers definitely do not know how to engage the students and they just lecture the whole time. Most teachers are knowledgable but I have definitely had teachers who do not seem confident in what they are teaching.
