There is no point in hiding what this school has to offer and what could be changed because the most important part of attending a high school is for the opportunities they give you and the environment of daily academic life.
Mast is a school that offers courses specializing in medicine and technology. From internships, to volunteer opportunities, and summer programs, this school offers no shortage opportunities mostly in stem. You just have to take advantage of this in order to profit.
As for class environment, it depends on preference. Here at mast there are few class disruptions. Since we don’t have sports, we focus on academic competition. Some find it stressful. For those who find school days stressful, there are mental health resources. And although every student is knowledgeable about how to prioritize mental health, The school does not show students how to implement it in a classroom setting. Which could be difficult for those with mental disorders and/or sleep deprivation.

I am a current student at mast academy and this is my third year going to the school. I can say academically this schools is one of the best schools to choose the teachers care about their students and their best academic interest. The activities are not the biggest but the ones that I have attended have have been fun. The administration makes sure that the students are safe both physically and mentally. They care about the students future and getting them involved in making the right decisions. They offer us many opportunities to gain community service, college opportunities. This school allows us to get familiar with the college environment and what is expected from us as students and adults both personally and education wise. This schools has allowed students to further their education in the medical aspect.
Honestly speaking, being at MAST has been a wonderful experience. I have really enjoyed the fact that there is not more than 800 students so contacting administration and finding an adult to confide in is not difficult. It is guaranteed that by the time you graduate you would have almost had every teacher in the building because it is not a large high school. Throughout my high school years I have been faced with many academic challenges. MAST is not an easy school, as students can have a heavy workload due to the fact that we are already one year ahead when entering the high school. However, this is something that I feel has really prepared me for my upcoming years at university. In addition to academics, however, MAST does not have sports. Which for me is not an issue. Thus, the administrative team does their absolute best to create activities that is able to include everyone from any cultures, race, religion, etc. At MAST everyone is a family and you will never be excluded.
