My daughter what very nervous to start school. We originally considered the private school route , but went with mcspedden based on performance.
The number one thing that drove me to write this review was my daughters attitude towards the school.
She’s so happy and that is all because of her teachers. She loves her teacher specifically , but raves about all of them.
The staff/principal seem very well organized and so far we’re extremely impressed with how well the school is ran.
When the kids walk in they’re greeted by the most optimistic teacher who is full of compliments. I wish Adults were greeted the same at work! It makes a huge difference in how a child starts their day.
I hope the school continues on the same path! The best school is the district (my opinion).

Some 5th grade teachers and school counselor were biased. Also, the school does not care about the well being of children but mostly about its own reputation. If there is bullying and you complain to teacher, they tell to talk to the other kid and sort it out but won't take it seriously especially if the kid doing bullying is a popular and favored kid. Also, some teachers will target few kids constantly and point out their mistakes instead of constructive criticism. Bad experience especially in 5th grade.
Tremendous school. Two children who attend and both thrive there even though they have very different personalities and strengths. Administration is fabulous ensuring it is a pilot site for new, amazing programs such a “brain break” extra recess. Google the school in local news and see it profiled for inventive teaching aimed at getting students excited to learn. Kids enjoy learning, not focused on the usual labels, status or bullying. Students for the most part are kind with engaged parents. I wouldn’t be ANY place else - public to private. And my oldest is already getting sad to move on from it to middle school.
