Throughout my time in this school, I found that the teachers were extremely invested in my education. They did everything they could to support me and my decisions for education. This was shown even during the recent corona virus pandemic.
However, the school administration can be slow and clunky. Textbooks, for example, did not always arrive or were never ordered. Resources and funding are limited at times. Though, I will admit that it tries to do what it can, despite its flaws.
Courses are not very diverse. More specifically, the science courses. In total, we have the basics and some biological science ones. However, there are not any other courses to enroll in. It focuses more on art and sports, than it does anything else.
Clubs are also limited. Most of them are very vague and generalized. Students are not always able to participate due to other things, which causes some clubs to collapse. The chess club is an example of that.
Overall, the school is good, but not the best.

When I started going to McLoud High School, it was in the second semester. I transitioned from a private school to a public school. At the start I wished I stayed at the private school, but within two weeks I began to enjoy public school. The teachers and my fellow classmates were different from past public-school experiences. The teachers followed the many guidelines and the syllabus, and the student followed the student handbook, bullying was hardly seen, and fights were rare.
My experience at this school was a roller coaster of emotions. At first, I did not favor McLoud High School most of my time there. However, it was during my junior year was when I fell in love with the school. The reason I rated McLoud High School a three because the school has its pros and cons. The things I adore about this school were sporting events, college readiness, traditions, science, technology, and math; clubs and organizations; and food. However, the things I disliked about the school was the lack of diversity, resources, parent involvement, tradition, safety precautions. Of course, schools are not perfect. These are just my problems and positives about the high school I graduated from.
